Gorta Shops
gorta has nine charity shops around the country in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Laois. Check this section of our website to see if there is one in your area. If so, there are four main ways you could help out.
- Become a Volunteer: If you have a couple of hours a week to spare why not volunteer some of your time to help out and meet great new friends in the process.
- Buy Vintage Chic: Each shop has a unique selection of clothes and accessories for all the family. Try that 1960’s London look, or Springtime in New York 1970’s or just get a suit for work.
- Donate old clothes/books/furniture: If you simply rush by every day on the way to and from work, why not pack up that bag of old clothes that you have been meaning to do something with and drop it off as you go by. We would be very happy to turn them into funds for the developing world.
- Unwanted presents/gifts: we all have these particularly after a birthday or Christmas and our shops would be happy to take them off your hands.
