At present, the Horn of Africa is experiencing one of the worst droughts the world has seen with regions of Somalia now being declared as famine stricken. gorta – the Freedom from Hunger Council of Ireland is particularly active in five countries in sub-Saharan Africa, including Kenya – one of the countries suffering the most serious effects of the drought.
