Minister Peter Power launches World Food Day 2009
Peter Power T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs with responsibility for Overseas Development Aid, launched Gorta's World Food Day Conference at the Gresham Hotel, Dublin on October 16th 2009.
Minister Power's address to the 200 participants was entitled: "The role Ireland is playing in responding to the hunger crisis" and included reflections on the critical issue of climate change.
